Autoantibody associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
Anti-Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide Antibody (Anti-CCP) is an autoantibody associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It is produced by the immune system and targets and attacks healthy tissue, leading to inflammation in the joints. The CCP antibody test measures these antibodies in the blood to diagnose RA and assess disease severity.
