The Torch IgM test is used to detect specific antibodies in your blood for infections caused by Toxoplasmosis, Rubella, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), and Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV). It screens for IgM antibodies produced in response to these infections. The test is often prescribed for pregnant women to detect any infectious diseases that can be passed to the fetus. Positive results indicate past or current infection, while negative results mean no antibodies were detected.
